I KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY CALLING
FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION ON OCTOBER 6, 1987, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ELECTING A SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER FOR A TWO-YEAR UNEXPIRED TERM
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough School Board accepted the
Iresignation of July Fulp at its regular meeting of August 24, 1987; and
WHEREAS, there is now a vacancy on the board for an unexpired
itwo year term; and
WHEREAS, Alaska Statues provide for a successor to be
ilappointed within 30 days to serve until the next regular election; and
WHEREAS, the next regular election is October 6, 1987,
however, the nominating period for that election has already past;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that a Special Election be held on October 6, 1987, in
conjunction with the Regular Election for the purpose of electing a

School Board Member to a two-year unexpired term.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there will be a special nominating
(period from August 28 through September 4, 1987 for this seat.
�INominations will be made in accordance with KIB 2.01.
