RESOLUTION NO. 67-29-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
' LEASING OF THE OFFICE SPACE IN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of Lots 5 and 7 of
U. S. Survey 2638A and all improvements thereon, and
WHEREAS, the main building, a former dormitory, has been converted to
an office building of which approximately 77 percent is used for office space
and the remaining space is common area, and
WHEREAS, the property deed contains ■ restrictive clause limiting the
j use to school and other purposes only, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly desires to manage the
property as a self-sustaining enterprise and to most this goal it is advantsg-

noun to provide full occupancy by renting the available space to qualified
occupants, giving first priority to school and borough use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
! that the Borough Mayor is authorized to negotiate leases with the following
governmental and qualifying non-profit corporations at a cost of 61.00 per
square foot:
Space bl Kodiak Island Borough School District - 4,661 square feet
Space e2 Kodiak Island Borough - 10,094 square feet
Space 03 City of Kodiak - 3,696 square feet
Space 04 KMKT Radio Station - 1,413 square fast
Space 88 Kodiak Island Borough - 673 square feet

Space 06 Legislative Affairs - 942 square fent
Space e7 Stale of Alaska CBRA - 236 square feel
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of less* $hall
be those provided in the written document as prepared and entitled Lease
Agreement.
