RESOLUTION NO. 87-08-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ACCEPTING THE DEC
(BALER FACILITY) $175,000 GRANT FROM THE CITY OF KODIAK.
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak by Resolution No. 03-87 has accepted a
'i State of Alaska, Department of Environmental Conservation Grant (#50319) for
landfill improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the entity building the Solid
;; Waste (Baler) Facility and closing out the old landfill area in accordance
with the Department of Environmental Conservation requirements; and
�I WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has moved to pass these funds to the
Kodiak Island Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
accepts this grant in the amount of $175,000 and agrees to match the $175,000
with funds from the legislative grant for the landfill received by the Kodiak
Island Borough. These funds will be utilized for the intended purpose.
Accounting, reporting and auditing will be furnished to parties concerned.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 5 day of February , 1987 by the
Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
