1987-02 Declaring Land Surplus - Larsen BayKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 87-02-R ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY DECLARING CERTAIN A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF BOROUGH LAND SURPLUS FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND LANDS FOR THE LARSEN BAY SCHOOL CLASSROOM ADDITION. r building WHEREAS, additional land is required to provide Ilia props setbacks for the Larsen Bay School addition in conformance with the Uniform Building code and Kodiak Island Borough Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, the City of Larsen Bay is the adjacent land owner and the Borough has entered into negotiations to exchange land for the Purpose of constructing the Larsen Bay School addition; and WHEREAS, the Borough is offering in exchange a deed restricted I portion of a R1 -Single Family zoned land, and a substandard building previously utilized as a school; and ie Family portion of a R1 -Sing W�{EREAS, the Borough will receive a Residential lot; and and Zoning Commission Ili WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning �I has held an advertised and noticed public hearing and recommends approval of 'Ili the land exchange.
