RESOLUTION NO. 89-56-R
A RE5OLUTION PLACING THE ELECTION
OF A CHARTER COMMISSION ON THE OCTOBER 1969 BALL
WHEREAS, the voters of the Kodiak Island Borough on O ober 3,
1987 voted for the formation of a committee to study consolidation f the
borough and the City of Kodiak, and
WHEREAS, the question passed by a vote of 1392 to 71, and
WHEREAS, the Consolidation Committee began m g in January
1988 and has met twice a month ever since, and CV
WHEREAS, the Consolidation Committee's recd ndation was to
place an advisory question of consolidation on the Octo r 3 ballot;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED b Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that the following proposition be placer -J3 re the voters as
provided by law:
