RESOLUTION NO. 89-08-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT -RURAL
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (CDBG-REDI) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly wishes to support
the construction of a homeless shelter in the community, and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough is a co -applicant for a grant in
the amount of $100,000 from the Alaska Department of Community and Regional
Affairs (hereinafter "Department"), under the CDBG-REDI program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the Kodiak
Island Borough is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute any an all
documents required for granting and managing funds on behalf of the
Island Borough. Kodiak
The Mayor is also authorized to execute any subsequent amendments
to said grant agreement to provide for adjustments to the project within the
scope of services or tasks, based upon the needs of the project.
