RESOLUTION NO. 89-05-R
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF INTEREST
IN PROPOSED TRACT K-1 US SURVEY 1396 AND 3468, TO
THE CITY OF KODIAK FOR AIRPORT PURPOSES
WHEREAS, KIBC Section 78.20.030(B) requires Assembly review and
i authorization by resolution for the disposal Of land found surplus to the

(.borough's needs, and
I WHEREAS,
KIB C 18.20,100(8) states that the Assembly may dispose
i�of land for less than fair market value to the City of Kodiak upon a finding

by the Assembly that the disposal will allow the use of the land for a
beneficial Public purpose, and

WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has management authority of the
!.Kodiak Municipal airport, and
WHEREAS, it is in the Borough's 9 best interest to relinquish its
(ownership interest to the managing 9 g authority of the airport, and
WHEREAS, the Planning 6 Zoning Commisison, upon review of the
('Proposed disposal and after a public hearing, recommends the surplus of
Borough interest in Tract K-1, US Survey 1396 and 3468, to the City of
Kodiak,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly authorizes the disposal of interest to 16.2± acres of land
for less than fair market value to the City of Kodiak to be used for Public
!purposes as a municipal facility,
