RESOLUTION NO. 88-37-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ESTABLISHING
TOTAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE FROM LOCAL SOURCES FOR THE
AK ISLAND BOROUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR FY89.
WHEREAS, AS 14.14.060 specifies that the Borough School Board
submit the school budget for the following school year to the Borough

WHEREAS, within thirty days after receipt of the budget the
ply shall determine the amount of money to be made available from local
a for school purposes and shall furnish the School Board with a
statement of the sum to be made available; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough School District did on March
1988 approve the FY 89 budget in the amount of $15,269,000, and transmit
to the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the budget requests that a total of $2,390,000 be
from local sources; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Resolution 88-25-R
oved the FY 89 Kodiak Island Borough School District budget in the
nt of $15,269,000 based on the projected FY 89 funding by the State of
ka and authorized a local appropriation in the amount of $2,390,000 from
FY 1988 Kodiak Island Borough School Distict carry-over and funds
opriated in the Kodiak Island Borough FY 1989 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the total funding of the
ak Island Borough School District for fiscal year 1989 is $2,730,000

FY89 Insurance $ 300,000
FY89 Audit Expense $ 40,000
BE IT FURTHER' RESOLVED that the Borough staff is hereby instructed
notify the School District of this action and take all steps necessary to
pure that all necessary accounting activities are completed to accomplish
this action.
