RESOLUTION NO. 66-26-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION IN THE STATE DAY CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PURSUANT TO
AS 11.17.250-310.
WHEREAS, AS /4.17.250-310 authorizes municipalities to contract with
the State for the implementation and administration of a program to assist in

providing day care for the children of low and moderate income families and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly wishes to provide a day
cars assistance program in this community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Mayor is hereby
authorized to apply to the Department of Community and Regional Affairs on
behalf of the Kodiak Island Borough for funds to implement and administer a
program to assist in providing day care for children of low and moderate
income families in this community as authorized by AS 11.17.250-310 with an
estimated allocation of 5200,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough Mayor is authorized to act
behalf of the Kodiak Island Borough to accept any offer of funds from the
Department and to execute a contract with the Department to implement and
administer said program. The Borough Mayor is also authorized to execute any
subsequent amendments to said contract to provide for increases or decreases I
the program funds committed to this community, based upon program needs in thi
coaaaanity sad those of other communit Les throughout the State.
