A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOPOUGH ASSEMBLY AUTPCRIZ-v_- r _
ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PRIVATE LAND FOR AODITICNAL RICH? "' -F CtIFFSIDE
ROAD.
WHEREAS, KIBC 18.10.010(8) authorizes the acquisition of real property b;
the Kodiak Island Borough by direct purchase; and
WHEREAS, KIBC 18.10.020 establishes a procedure of acquiring real
property by adoption of an Assembly resolution that may set terms, conditions,
and manner of acquisition; and
WHEREAS, the present alignment of Cliffside Road encroaches and traverses
a privately owned lot; and
WHEREAS, the cost in purchasing additional right-of-way appears to be
more cost effective than realigning the road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the `".cdiak Island Borough Assembly
authorizes the Mayor to enter into negotiatior= to purchase a portion of Lot
6A, Block 5, Miller Point Alaska Subdivision presently occupied by Cliffside
Road.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 17 day of March , 1988 by the Kodiak
Island Borough Assembly.
