1986-77 Ratifying and Confirming the Results of the October 7, 1986 Regular Election.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 86-77-R A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD OCTOBER 7, 1986 WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Regular Election on October 7, 1986, at which time candidates for the following Dffices to be filled were voted on: Two (2) Borough Assembly . . . . . . . . . 3 -year terms One (1) Borough Assembly . . . . . . . . . 1 -year unexpired term One (1) School Board . . . . . . . . . . . 3 -year term Service District N1 Two (2) Advisory Board Seats . . . . . . . 3 -year terms Fire District N1 One (1) Advisory Board Seat. . . . . . . . 3 -year term Monashka Bay Service District Two (2) Advisory Seats . . . . . . . . . . 3 -year terms Womens Bay Service District Two (2) Advisory Seats . . . . . . . . . . 3 -year terms One (1) Advisory Seat. . . . . . . . . . . 1 -year unexpired term J and the following question: Proposition No. 1 (Bay view Road Service Area) "Shall the Bay view Road Service Area be established for the following described area: All of that portion of land lying within Section 20 and 21, Township 27 South, Range 19 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska, platted as Lots 2 through 22, Block 1, and Lots 1 through 10, Block 2, and the included Monashka Circle and Bay View Drive rights-of-way, Monashka Bay Alaska Subdivision, recorded in the Kodiak Recording District on September 9, 1968, Plat No. 68-8?" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Il Assembly: THAT the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies and declares the results of the Regular Election held within the Kodiak Island Borough on Tuesday, October 7, 1986, to be as follows: .I THAT for the position of Assembly Members for three-year terms, the !Ifollowing votes were cast: ANN BARKER received 897 votes: WILLIAM BULEN received 593 votes; TOM PETERSON received 799 votes; WAYNE SEWELL received 394 votes; and WAYNE STEVENS received 803 votes, THEREFORE, it is declared that ANN BARKER and WAYNE STEVENS have i,been elected for three-year seats. THAT for the position of Assembly Member for a one-year unexpired term, the following votes were ,at. OKEY CHANDLER received 470 votes; KITZA DOKM received 106 votes; JACK MCFARLAND received 564 votea; DENNIS MCMURRY received 211 votes; FRED TURCOTT received 185 votes; and, DAVID WAKEFIELD received 411 votes, THEREFORE, it is declared that JACK McFARLAND has been elected for a one-year seat. THAT for the position of School Board Member for a three-year term, the following votes were cast: JUDY FULP received 927 votes; NETTIE LaFOLLETTE received 273 votes: PERRY PAGE received 389 votes; and, CLIFF STONE received 346 write-in votes, it Resolution No. 86-77-R !Page 1 of 2 li THEREFORE, it is declared that JUDY PULP has been elected for a three-year seat. THAT for the position of Service District Advisory Board Members for the Monashka Bay Service Area three-year terms, the following votes were cast: ILVA FOX received 5 write-in votes; ROXY BRINGGOLD received 3 write-in votes; and, there were 37 miscellaneous write-in votes cast, THEREFORE, it is declared that BOXY BRINCGOLD and ILVA FOX have been elected for three-year seats. THAT for the position of Service District Advisory Board Members for the Women's Bay Service Area three-year terms, the following votes were cast: BOB TARRANT received 18 write-in votes; DICK PERKINS received 9 write-in votes; CLINT HOLLISTER received 4 write-in votes; JOHN BEALE, received 5 write-in votes; and, 73 miscellaneous write-in votes were cast, THEREFORE, BOB TARRANT and DICK PERKINS have been elected to three-year seats. THAT for the position of Service District Advisory Board Member for the Women's Bay Service Area one-year term, the following votes were cast: JOHN BURT received 5 write-in votes; and there were 53 miscellaneous write-in votes cast, THEREFORE, it is declared that JOHN BURT has been elected for a one-year seat. THAT for the position of Service District Advisory Board Member for Service District No. 1 three-year terms, the following votes were cast: PAT BRANSON received 14 write-in votes; JIM FISK received 41 write-in votes; SCOTT ARNDT received 28 write-in votes; MARK MADJIC received 4 write-in votes; JAMES POULOS received 8 write-in votes; and, there were 70 'miscellaneous write-in votes cast, THEREFORE, it is declared that SCOTT ARNDT and JIM FISK have been elected for three-year seats. THAT for the position of Service District Advisory Board Metrber for Fire Protection District No. 1 three-year term, the following votes were cast: SID COZART received 271 votes; BILL WEVER received 4 write-in votes; and, there were 17 miscellaneous write-in votes cast, THEREFORE, it is declared that SID COZART has been elected for a three-year seat. THAT Proposition No. 1 on the question of creating Bay View Rd. Service District, received 13 YES votes and 10 NO votes, THEREFORE, the Bay View Rd. Service District is created.
