NALAOUACULTUREASSOCIATIONATTHE MANAGINGAGENT FOR NTHE YKARLUKE
LAKE FERTILIZATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly has
appropriated f60,00d
for FY 1987 for Continuation of the Karluk Lake Fertilization Project, and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has a
ppr opriated no Lunda for this '
Project. and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association has offered to II
manage the uss of the $60,000 to accomplish the project including preparing the
bid specifications, award of bid and Contract compliance, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association is the only
state authorized aquaculture Association in the Borough and should therefore be
selected as a sole source Contractor, and
WHEREAS, the management by the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture
Association mould result in direct involvement in sAsMon enhancement by the
Association, lower overhead cost and increase benefits to the entire oomnunityi
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the $60,000 appropriated for the Karluk Lake Fertilization Project is
available to the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association in the role of
managing agent subject to the normal terms and conditions of a management
agreement to be negotiated by the mayor.
