NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kodiak Island Borough
respectfully requests the Governor of the State of Alaska, together with all
together with all members of the Alaska Delegation to Congress in Washington,
D.C., to strongly urge in* U. S. Secretary of Transportation and the
Commandant, U. S. Coast Guard, to significantly reduce or eliminate new
government housing construction at U. S. Coast Guard Support Center Kodiak,
with resultant immediate and ongoing savings to the Coast Guard, and
enhancement to the local economy, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the support of this resolution is
respectfully requested of:
