CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR SDkl PROJECT WITH

SUBDIVISION GRADING, DRAINAGE, 3[IFF URS COMPANY FOR
ACING AND UTILITIES BPROJECT. THE LAKESIDE
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough by Resolution No.
approved a contract with 82-13-R
in Service District No. ORS Company for design of water and sewer improvement
1; and
bids; and
WHEREAS, Project No. 85-1(B) has been advertised for construction

WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly approved a contract with
omar Associates on May, 1982 to Provide preliminary subdivision
Plans and y designs j 4 for the Beaver Lake area; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly approved Amendment No, I
to the URS Company contract on June 3, 1982 providing for design of water and
sewer improvements in Lakeside Subdivision in the the Beaver Lake area; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly desires to dispose of
land in Lakeside Subdivision at a fall 1986 land sale; and
WHEREAS, construction of road and utility improvements is necessary
before the land can be sold, and
Provide
ESS, the Kodiak Island Borough does not have sufficient staff to
WHEREAS'

concurrently under construction, services considering other projects
does not have time to hire qualified
Iadditional staff and obtain necessary support equipment; and does not desire
to increase staff and support equipment for short term needs and
I WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island III Borough desires to have URS Company with project administration through
the construction phase.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above expenditures are hereby
authorized from funds received for the Island Lake Water and Serer Project and
