RESOLUTION 85-94-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROVING THE
AUDITORIUM ART SELECTION AND DIRECTING STAFF TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS WITH THE
SELECTED ARTISTS.
WHEREAS, Proposals for art work for installation in the Kodiak
Auditorium were properly solicited and reviewed by the Art Selection Committee,
and
WHEREAS, the Art Selection Committee has compiled a recommended list
of proposed art work for the Kodiak Auditorium and forwarded that recommendation
to the Kodiak Island Borough School Board, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough School Board has concurred with the
;recommendations of the Art Selection Committee and forwarded the recommendation
Ito the Borough Assembly, and
WHEREAS, funds are available for purchase of the proposed artwork
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that staff execute contracts with the Artists for purchase of the proposed Art
ork selection as outlined in the attached document in an amount not to exceed
1$55,500, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the remaining budgeted funds in the amount
I.f $32,445 be placed in an art fund specifically designated for the purchase of
works of art.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of October , 1985 by the
Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
