RESOLUTION NO. 85-31-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY WHICH ESTABLISHES
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION DATES FOR THE 1985 ORIGINAL TAX ASSESSMENT VALUATION
ROLL.
WHEREAS, Section 29.53.170 of the Alaska Statutes provides for the
assessment, levy, and collection of taxes in the Kodiak Island Borough and for
equalization hearings after notice that the assessment roll has been
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Assessor has notified the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that he has completed the 1985 Original Tax Roll and has mailed
assessment notices and has published notice that the assessment roll has been
completed and that such notice stated when and where the equalization hearings
will be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the Board of Equalization shall assemble and meet for the purpose of
equalization hearings on Monday, May 20, 1985 at 6:30 p.m. in the Borough
Assembly Chambers with Wednesday, May 22, 1985 as an alternate date in the
event that more than one (1) day is needed to complete the hearings of the
Board of Equalization.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Assessor shall cause notice that
the assessment rolls have been completed and such notice shall be published in
the Kodiak Mirror, a newspaper of general circulation published in the Kodiak
Island Borough, on April 8 and 15, 1985 stating that the assessment rolls have
been completed and when and where the equalization hearings will be held.
