RESOLUTION NO. 85-14-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ADOPTING THE
KARLUK COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN DATED OCTOBER
1984.
WHEREAS, the Village of Karluk, Alaska, requested assistance from
the Kodiak Island Borough to prepare a Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough obtained a grant from the State
of Alaska's Department of Community and Regional Affairs through the Coastal
Energy Impact Program (CEIP) to pay for the cost for plan preparation; and
WHEREAS, the firm Norgaard Consultants was selected by the Borough
to prepare a plan for Karluk and has accomplished that task; and
WHEREAS, the Karluk Tribal Council conducted a public hearing in
October of 1984 and adopted the Plan with changes; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission
conducted a public hearing on December 19, 1984 and adopted the Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough, in
accordance with Alaska Statutes Section 29.33.085(b) hereby adopts the docu-
ment entitled Karluk Comprehensive Development Plan, October 1984, and incor-
porates same into the Kodiak Island Borough Comprehensive Plan.
