1985-13 Authorizing Expenditure of Certain Funds for the Kodiak Area Chamber of Commerce Building.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
RESOLUTION NO. 85-13-R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
EXPENDITURE OF CERTAIN FUNDS FOR THE KODIAK AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Area Chamber of Commerce has undertaken a buildi
program to construct a building to house the Chamber of Commerce staff, the
Kodiak Ferry Terminal and the Kodiak Visitors Center, and
WHEREAS, the activities and services provided by all of these agenci
benefit the residents of the Kodiak Island Borough, and
WHEREAS, the funds held by the Chamber of Commerce to complete this
project are short at this time by more than $20,000, and
WHEREAS, a substantial part of the additional expenditure is neces
to protect the integrity of the building and the investment made to date by thi!
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that staff is hereby authorized and directed to effect the necessary changes to
make $7,852 for installation of the entrance porch, handicap ramp, sidewalks
and safety rails available to the Kodiak Area Chamber of Commerce from the
Borough Building Roof funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized and directed to
effect the necessary line item changes within the limits established above by
project to properly monitor, account and report for the expenditure of these
funds.
