Re: Case 13 -009. Request a Parking Review, according to KIBC 17.175.050, to allow three
(3) off - street parking spaces required in support of Lot 7A, Allman and Lalande
Subdivision, to be located on Lot 9, Allman and Lalande Subdivision, a lot located within
600 feet of the subject parcel.
Dear Mr. Pillans:
The Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission at their regular meeting on
October 17, 2012, approved the parking review request cited above, subject to the following
conditions:
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
1. Acquire a written contract for 3 additional parking spaces for at least 1 year.
An appeal of this decision may be initiated by; 1) the applicant, or 2) any person who was sent a
written notice or submitted timely written comments or gave oral testimony at the public hearing
before the Commission, by filing a written notice of appeal with the Borough Clerk within ten
(10) working days of the date of the Commission's decision. The notice of appeal must state the
specific grounds for the appeal and the relief sought by the appellant, and is accompanied by the
$350 appeal fee. Therefore, the Commission's decision will not be final and effective until ten
(10) working days following the decision.
The Planning and Zoning Commission adopted the following finding of fact in support of their
decision:
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. The distance between the off -site parking and the use that is served is less than the maximum
tolerance of 600 lineal feet.
2. The zoning district of the off -site parking and zoning district of the use that is being served is
the same.
