Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting <br />February 21, 1979 <br />prepared by the planning staff. <br />Page 3 <br />Chairman closed the regular meeting and opened the public hearing <br />RUSSELL WELBORN: Speaks in favor of this request although he didn't know that he <br />had to appear before this commission in order to have the renewal <br />processed. <br />Hearing no one else speaking either for or against this request <br />the chairman closed the public hearing and reopened the regular <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Ball moved that the commission recommend the annual renewal <br />of the borough site lease on Tract B -2, Bells Flats Alaska Sub- <br />division by Russ Welborn, and leave it up to the borough assembly <br />to determine the price of the material. Seconded by Mr. Pugh. <br />Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />2. LL -79 -002. A request for approval of sale or lease of K.I.B. <br />owned land in USS 2382 on Raspberry Island. (James & Karen Schauff) <br />Chairman Busch stated that this item has been requested to be post- <br />poned until the March 19th meeting. <br />Mr. Perez moved that the request for approval of sale or lease of <br />K.I.B. owned land on USS 2382 on Raspberry Island be postponed <br />until the 19th of March 1979. Seconded by Mr. Pugh. Motion pass- <br />ed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />3. LL -79 -003. A request for P & Z approval and recommendation on a <br />long term lease application of Borough owned land, Tract B -5, <br />Bells Flats Alaska Subdivision, for the manufacture and storage <br />of crab pots. (Glen Dick) <br />Staff report was presented by Mr. Milligan based on a memorandum <br />prepared by the planning staff. In his application he was talking <br />about a 25 year lease. A five year lease is generally considered <br />to be a short -term lease. Staff does not recommend giving the <br />long -term lease. <br />Chairman closed the regular meeting and opened the public hearing <br />Hearing no one speaking either for or against this request the <br />chairman closed the public hearing and reopened the regular meeting. <br />Mr. Pugh moved that the application for a request for approval and <br />recommendation on a long -term lease application of borough owned <br />land, on Tract B -5, Bells Flats Alaska Subdivision be tabled. <br />Seconded by Pair. Anderson. Motion passed 4 -1 with Mr. Erwin casting <br />a NO vote. <br />* * * * * * * * Chairman called for 5 minute recess <br />VII OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Resolution #79 -1 -R, Park Plan. <br />' Mrs. Crowe read the above resolution into the record. <br />lir. Anderson moved that the commission adopt K.I.B. planning and zon- <br />ing commission resolution #79 -1 -R. Seconded by Mr. Ball. Motion <br />passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />B. K.I.B. P & Z Resolution #79 -2 -R, Adopting the Draft Land Subdivision <br />Regulations. <br />Staff report was presented by Mr. Milligan. <br />
