November 13, 2012 Regular Meeting 7 p.m. in the K • # ool District Conference Room
CALL TO ORDER
CHAIR SALTONSTALL called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Hans Tschersich and Sandra West requested excusal.
Committee members present were Pam Foreman, Jeff Huntley, Rick Lindholm, Mike
Marion, Patrick Saltonstall. Excused was Hans Tschersich and Sandra West. Absent was
Andy Schroeder.
A quorum was established
COMMITTEE MEMBER FOREMAN MOVED to excuse COMMITTEE MEMBER TSCHERSICH
and COMMITTEE MEMBER WEST.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
Community Development Department staff present was Bud Cassidy.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
There were no minutes.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS AND APPEARANCE REQUESTS

OLD BUSINESS
A. Trail Management Objectives for Russian Ridge Trail System - Preparation for
November 27, 2012 Trail Summit Meeting (Carried over from October 9, 2012_
CHAIR SALTONSTALL said it looks like you've done a lot and we won't have to do as much
as we thought.
Daurio stated although we discussed it informally, she explained the changes made.
Discussion was regarding urban and rural trails. The committee was in consensus with
what Daurio has done.
Cassidy suggested having staff pre - populate the Russian Ridge TMO's for committee review
CHAIR SALTONSTALL entertained a motion to have staff populate the rest of or as much as
they can of the TMO, both pages for committee edit or approve.
COMMITTEE MEMBER HUNTLEY MOVED that Daurio complete all TMO's for Russian
Ridge.

During discussion, Cassidy said you'll carry on from your last Trail Summit for Russian
Ridge and then you'll select a new area. CHAIR SALTONSTALL said we will get their input
on other trails that they maybe having issues with.
Cassidy stated he may have Bob Scholze at your next meeting to talk about Leisnoi land.
COMMITTEE MEMBER HUNTLEY MOVED to postpone the Trails Summit until January 22
2013,
B. LEISNOI LAND TRADE
Cassidy said he's been communicating with Bob Scholze and wants to get him in to talk to
the committee and to get Leisnoi to come talk to the committee possibly on December 11th.
Brief discussion re: areas to look at and logging.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Buskin Land (Carried over from October 9, 2012 Meeting)
Cassidy stated Busking Valley is still a concept right now.
B. Trail User Advisory Statement (Carried over from October 9, 2012 Meeting)
Cassidy said that Dvorak has said that the committee had written something up on it.
Brief discussion
C. Kodiak Launch Complex
Cassidy stated that Dvorak said there is no EIS out but you can sign up on their webpage for
what they have. Cassidy wants to check the State Lands Plan and also the Interagency Land
Management Agreement to see what the language for use is.
D. Airport EIS (Carried over from the October 9, 2012 Meeting)
CHAIR SALTONSTALL said he skimmed through it and Dvorak was going to provide disks
re: the airport.
Discussion of the alternatives in the EIS.
COMMITTEE MEMBER FOREMAN MOVED to direct staff to find out what State Parks
Community Advisory Board which position they took as preferred alternatives.
