Dear Mr. DeHart,
Satori Group completed the remediation project for the building located at 1614 Mill Bay Road in Kodiak,
Alaska. Satori Group removed asbestos containing materials (ACM) from the interior of the building to
include: GWB /JC, popcorn ceiling texture, and various areas of flooring. Other hazardous including
mercury light tubes, mercury switches, PCB ballasts, and miscellaneous other hazardous materials were
removed.
All abatement was completed using appropriate OSHA regulated removal methods. Disposal was done in
accordance with DOT and USEPA regulations. All ACM debris was disposed of at the KIB Landfill per
instructions from the KIB Landfill supervisor.
Regular non -ACM debris (including furniture, cabinets etc) was removed from work areas. All non -ACM
debris is to be demolished with the building per the contract.
Visual inspections and clearance air monitoring were done as well for the project. All clearance results
were below 0.01 f /cc, which is the acceptable level for re- occupancy by untrained individuals.
A detailed closeout report will be provided to you in the coming weeks.
Satori Group recommends that KE4 limits individuals from entering the interior due to work done on the
upstairs flooring during the abatement. Flooring may be weak or missing due to abatement methods and
could pose a severe safety issue for unauthorized individuals.
If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Alan Caldwell
