12 OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD OCTOBER 2, 2012

14 WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Regular Election on October 2, 2012, at
15 which time candidates for the following offices were voted on:

17 Borough Assembly Two Seats, Three Year Terms
18 School Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms
19 Fire Protection Area No. 1 Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms
20 Service Area No. 1 Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms
21 Bay View Road Service Area Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms
22 Monashka Bay Road Service Area Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms
23 Womens Bay Service Area Board Two Seats, Three Year Terms

25 WHEREAS, the Canvass Board of the Kodiak Island Borough met on October 4, 2012 and

46 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
47 BOROUGH THAT the Assembly finds that the Municipal Election of October 2, 2012 was
48 validly held and hereby ratifies and certifies the results of the election:

50 Section 1: In the Borough -wide election for Assembly, Aaron M. Griffin and Chris
51 Lynch were elected to three year terms each, having received the highest
52 vote tallies.

54 Section 2: In the Borough -wide election for Borough School Board, Debra Kirk and
55 Norman Wooten were elected to three year terms, having received the
56 highest vote tallies.

58 Section 3: In the Fire Protection Area No. 1, Rebecca Nelson and Kiela Pickett were
59 elected to three year terms, having received the highest vote tallies.

61 Section 4: In the Service Area No. 1, Paul Hansen was elected to a three year term.
62 Since there were two seats and only one was filled, the vacancy will be filled
63 per KIBC 4.15.040 D & E.

65 Section 6: In the Bay View Road Service Area, there were no candidates. The seats will
66 be filled per KIBC 4.15.040 D & E.

68 Section 7: In the Monashka Bay Road Service Area, there were no candidates. The
69 seats will be filled per KIBC 4.15.040 D & E.

71 Section 8: In the Womens Bay Service Area Board, David Conrad and Billy Ecret were
72 elected to three year terms, having received the highest vote tallies.

74 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE
75 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH THAT the election was validly held and that the clerk is
76 directed to deliver to each person elected to office a certificate of election.
