Dear Mr. Mills:
RE: Case 84 -032 Request for a

Subdivision.
variance from Section 17.57.020
of Spaces Required) to provide
on Lot 8, Block 3, New Kodiak
At their meeting on May 17, 1984, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning
and Zoning Commission rescinded the action taken on Case 84 -032 on
April 19, 1984.
In addition, the Commission agreed that the parking required for your
proposed development was 10 parking spaces (6 spaces for the laundro-
mat and 4 spaces for 1150 feet of retail floor area). Based on this
information, the Commission granted a variance for two spaces, re-
quiring you to, provide only eight on -site parking spaces off Shelikof
Avenue. These parking spaces shall be in the configuration shown on
your plan with the addition of two parallel parking spaces along the
east lot line. The Commission added the following condition to the
approval: the parking lot shall be paved and striped for eight
parking spaces within a year.
Failure to utilize this approved variance within twelve months after
its effective date shall cause its cancellation (17.66.080).
Please bring this letter or a copy when you come to apply for your
building permit.
If you have any questions about the Commission's action, please
contact me.
Sincerely,
Linda L. Freed

Re: 216 Shelikoff Ave EPA Building Inspection
Dear Mr. Arndt,
Thank you for seeking TC Enterprise Inc. to conduct a detailed hazard analysis in
conjunction with the possible purchase of 216 Shelikoff Ave. Based upon the year built
of 1985 and the phase out of Lead based Paint in the late 1970's and the phase out of
Asbestos in the mid 1970's, we have determined that this building would fall under the
Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials definition found in 29CFRI910.1001.
A full inspection of this building was performed pursuant to EPA regulations 40CFR763,
Subpart E. Attached are the sample results showing the absence of any Asbestos
Containing Materials identified by the building inspector.
If you have any questions please contact the undersigned,
Respectfully;
Ass
