TITLE:
Contract No. FY2010 -20C Chiniak School Fuel Tank Replacement.
SUMMARY:
Kodiak Island Borough code 3.16.020 "Limitation of Manager's Authority" states that a contract
exceeding $25,000 requires Assembly approval.
This contract will provide all work needed to comply with the EPA Field Citation Part II
Settlement Agreement/Compliance Order to be completed prior to October 14, 2011. The scope
of work includes: removal of a 500 gallon UST, sampling and analysis, ADEC liaison and
document reporting, ADEC Certified UST Decomissioner, and site assessment for 500 gallon
and 12,000 gallon USTs.
Staff recommends approval of Contract 2010 -20C.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to authorize the Manager to execute Amendment #3 to
the existing Term Contract No. FY2010 -20 with Satori Group, Inc. of Anchorage, AK to
perform site assessment, 500 gallon UST removal, and change in service of 12,000 gallon
UST at the Chiniak School in an amount not to exceed $44,948.

RE: Environmental Consulting Services Term Contract, Amendment #3
Dear Mr. Caldwell:
In response to your submission of cost estimates for site assessment, 500 gallon UST removal,
and change in service of 12,000 gallon UST at the Chiniak School, Kodiak Island Borough
hereby authorizes Satori Group, Inc. to proceed with work as scoped in your proposal dated
September 12, 2011, and in full compliance with all applicable ADEC and USEPA requirements.
Please proceed with compensation based on actual time and material prices in accordance with
Contract 2010 -20 in an amount not to exceed $44,948.00. Upon execution of this amendment the
submitted proposal is added to and becomes part of Contract 2010 -20 (Term Contract). All terms
and conditions of the Term Contract shall apply to the Chiniak School Fuel Tank Replacement.
