Mr. Jason Chandler

Kodiak, AK 99615
Dear Mr. Chandler:
RE: Zoning Compliance Permit — Lot C -2, Russian Creek Alaska Subdivision
This letter documents how we will handle the three (3) unpermitted accessory buildings located on your parcel
but also provide you the ability to start the construction of the addition on to your existing dwelling unit. For
clarification, two of the unpermitted accessory buildings are located within the required front yard setback of 25
feet. The third building is a conex van that was never permitted.
Our issuance of a zoning compliance for your addition will be conditioned upon withholding your Certificate of
Occupancy (CO) by the building department until all three accessory buildings are either removed or moved to
sites on your parcel that meet the required setbacks.
You may want to talk to your lender, Residential Mortgage, to understand the full implications of this action and
what could occur if these structures are not relocated and fully permitted.
Should you have any questions, please stop the office, Room 205, for more information.
Sincerely,
Bud Cassidy, Director
Community Development Department
cc: Ted Hansen, Building Inspector
