We are aware that the facility in Bearpark Gronklitt is known as a knowledge and information center. It is also known for: • making the management of wild carnivores easier • making the relations between humans and carnivores better • contributing to research of large carnivores • participating in the preservation of threatened species This unique facility, different from that of a regular zoo, is dedicated to gathering information and broadening education on the management of wild carnivores, and works internationally with researchers, government authorities, and other management personnel to disseminate information about the animals. The Bearpark Gronklitt is the largest park of its kind in Europe where animals are housed within large enclosures and the facility includes a cooperative carnivore center which provides activities and exhibitions within the park. In the process to realize the Kodiak facilities in Gronklitt we need remarks that verify that we are a knowledge and information center around big carnivores and besides that show the animals in very big enclosures. One of the goals in our work is to make the management of the wild carnivores easier, contribute to re- search, participate in preservation of threatened species and make the relation humans carnivores better. We have a wide international exchange as there is a lot of knowledge and experience abroad that we can share and it will make the management in Sweden easier. Most of the countries dont have wild populations of carnivores and the importance of management as well as need to work with it are low. Due to that fact it can also be difficult to realize that the Carnivore Center have a commission from the government to work with information and education with the purpose to make management easier.
