14 WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Regular Election on October 5, 2010, at
15 which time candidates for the following office to be filled were voted on:

60 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND

63 Section 1: The Assembly finds that the Municipal Election of October 5, 2010 was
64 validly held and hereby ratifies and certifies the results of the election:

66 Section 2: in the Borough -wide election for Mayor, Jerome Selby was elected to a
67 three -year term, having received the highest vote tally.

69 Section 3: In the Borough -wide election for Assembly, Carol Austerman and Louise
70 Stutes were elected to three -year terms each, having received the highest
71 vote tallies.

73 Section 4: In the Borough -wide election for Borough School Board, Melissa Borton
74 was elected to a three -year term, having received the highest vote tally.

76 Section 5: In the Fire Protection Area No. 1, Jim Pickett was elected to a three -year
77 term, having received the highest vote tally.

79 Section 6: In the Service Area No. 1, Greg Spalinger and Dennis Svmmons were
80 elected to three -year terms each, having received the highest vote tallies.

82 Section 7: In the Bay View Road Service Area, Margo Carmichael and Peter Ivanoff
83 received the highest write -in votes, both were elected to three year terms
84 each.

86 Section 8: In the Monashka Bay Road Service Area, Darlene Turner and Mark
87 Withrow received the highest write -in votes, both were elected to three year
88 terms each.

90 Ms. Turner currently serves on the board and cannot hold two seats; she
91 chose to assume the newly elected seat to expire 2013. The term to expire
92 2012 will be declared vacant and the vacancy will be created and filled per
93 KIBC 4.15.040.

95 Section 9: In the Womens Bay Service Area Board, Amanda R. Henderson and
96 Jessica Horn were elected to three -year terms having received the highest
97 vote tally.

99 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE
100 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH THAT the election was validly held and that the clerk is
101 directed to deliver to each person elected to office a certificate of election.
