ASSEMBLY WORK SESSION NOTES

PACKET REVIEW The assembly reviewed the agenda packet for the
regular meeting of January 7 with minor changes.
ANWR RESOLUTION Mayor gave assembly copies of proposed resolution
for review and discussion at Jan. 111 work session. Discussion ensued
regarding proposed land trades.
KODIAK REGIONAL AQUACULTURE ASSN PAYMENTS KRAA has paid
$12,000 down on salmon pens and need money for mobilization for
fertilization project. Consensus of assembly was to give partial payment
with two additional payments later.
RDC CONFERENCE The assembly felt we should stay abreast of what
is going on in the state. Jerome will come back with proposal for
participation at conference.
GREAT ALASKAN SPORTSMEN SHOW Show to be in Anchorage April
7 -10. KICVB looking for co- sponsors for five booths. Assembly
expressed interest. Jerome to bring more information to Jan. 7
meeting.
AUDIT REPORT Final audit was received Dec. 31. This is a "clean"
audit, meaning KIB meets all generally accepted accounting procedures.
Management letter has not been received yet. Gary Anderson of Ernst
& Whinney will meet with assembly at later date.
SWAMC Conference will be Jan. 15 -17 in King Salmon. We have
chartered with Penn Air rather than fly to Anchorage and then to King
Salmon. Austerman, Stevens, Barker and White to attend.
UTILITY BILLING Naughton's Trailer Court is using considerable
amounts of water. Borough has added several units to the billing for
extra usage. Naughton's have sold pieces to Zharoff and Creelman, but
all three are using same meter.
SCHOOL BOARD NEGOTIATING TEAM School Board has requested an
assemblymember for the negotiating team. Austerman volunteered.

HELISPOT Money has been included in federal budget for the
helispot. KIB has been "flooding" state with RCD pre - applications for
various borough and village projects.
