FY2008-08 Moving Money inFund 410A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
MOVING MONEY FROM UNDESIGNATED PROJECTS IN FUND 410
BOROUGH CAPITAL PROJECTS TO THE KODIAK MIDDLE SCHOOL ASBESTOS
ABATEMENT PROJECT, THE MAIN ELEMENTARY ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT,
AND THE KODIAK HIGH SCHOOL SOIL REMEDIATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Middle School has significant issues with asbestos and needs
$155,000 to abate this hazard; and
WHEREAS, the Main Elementary School has significant issues with asbestos and needs
$43,000 to abate this hazard; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak High School oil tank, located under the parking lot, developed a leak
and contaminated the soil under the parking lot and needs $190,000 for clean up: and
WHEREAS, Fund 410 has $739,254 in undesignated projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
1. New project 08001, Kodiak Middle School Asbestos Abatement, will be established in
Fund 410. $155,000 will be moved from undesignated projects to this project.
2. New project 08002, Main elementary Asbestos Abatement, will be established in Fund
410. $43,000 will be moved from undesignated projects to this project.
3. New project 08003, Kodiak High School Soil Remediation, will be established in Fund
410. $215,000 will be moved from undesignated projects to this project
