2003-24 FEMA Grant FundsA RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
ACCEPTING FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA)
GRANT FUNDS AND IDENTIFYING HOW THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH INTENDS TO USE SUCH FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough applied for a grant from the State of Alaska
Division of Homeland Security to update our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP); and
WHEREAS, the FEMA through the State has approved a grant in the amount of
$17,937 based on our grant application; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the grant award is necessary in order to utilize the funds
to pay for a contractor to update the EOP;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that the Borough Manager is hereby authorized to accept the Federal
Emergency Management Agency Funds in the amount of $17,937 and to administer
those funds to update and revise the Kodiak Emergency Operations Plan.
