A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ADOPTING A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR
FISCAL YEARS 2004 THROUGH 2008 AND
ESTABLISHING A STATE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS PRIORITY LIST
WHEREAS, a five -year Capital Improvement Program has been prepared by the
Kodiak Island Borough for fiscal years 2004 through 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough's Planning and Zoning Commission has
reviewed and made a recommendation for projects to be included in the fiscal year
2004 Capital Improvement Program at its September 25, 2002 meeting, in accordance
with Kodiak Island Borough Code 2.40.030E; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly held a public meeting on the five -year Capital Improvement
Program, including its priorities, during their regular meeting of January 16, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly and Borough administration reviewed the attached
comprehensive Capital Improvement Program (CIP) list for the Kodiak Island Borough;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: The Kodiak Island Borough's State Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
priorities for fiscal years 2004 through 2008 are as follows:
1. School Facility Earthquake Resistance Evaluation $ 380,099
2. Kodiak Fisheries Campus Phase III Design & Site Work $ 2,500,099
3. Central Solid Waste Transfer Stations Planning & Design $ 300,099
4. Monashka Bay Boat Ramp & Parking $ 300,000
5. Pasagshak Boat Ramp & Parking $ 300,099
6. Peterson School Parking Lot Paving $ 200,099
7. Bayside Fire Squad Vehicle $ 120,000
8. High School Parking Lot Repaving $ 800,000
9. Kodiak College Community Vocational Building (Phase I) $ 10,000,000
10. Kodiak College Community Vocational Building (Phase II) $ 10,000,000
11. Kodiak College Campus Dormitories $ 3,500,000
12. Kodiak Rodeo and State Fairgrounds Improvements $ 100,000

the governor, legislature, and appropriate agencies of the State of Alaska
