allow federal certification of wild seafood as "organic" food under the National Organic
Foods Production Act; and
WHEREAS, the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) has voted against developing
a set of national organic standards for wild seafood; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the Alaska commercial fishing industry that a set

that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is urged to develop organic certification
standards for wild seafood.
