A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
REMOVING SELIEF ESTATES, BLOCK 3, TRACT A

WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code 18.30.20 requires the Borough Assembly to set
the terms and conditions of sale for the disposition of public lands; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly adopted Resolution No. 2001 -34
authorizing Land Sale Number Fourteen and establishing terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code 18.20.155(b) provides that if the Assembly finds
it to be in the best interest of the Borough to do so, it may reject all bids or proposals up
to the time set for the opening of the bids or proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly is desirous of obtaining property adjacent to North Star
Elementary School to provide additional parking and adequate vehicle access; and
WHEREAS, the owners of a land parcel adjacent to North Star Elementary School have
expressed an interest in negotiating a trade of their property for Selief Estates, Block 3,
Tract A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that Selief Estates, Block 3, Tract A is removed from the Kodiak Island Borough
Land Sale Number Fourteen.
