RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
TRANSFERRING KODIAK AREA TRANSIT SYSTEM (KATS)
ASSETS TO THE SENIOR CITIZENS OF KODIAK, INC.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has discontinued operation of the Kodiak Area
Transit System (KATS); and
WHEREAS, the Senior Citizens of Kodiak, Inc. (SCOK) received two grants for
operation costs for revitalizing KATS; and
WHEREAS, the SCOK operate and manage a transit system similar to KATS; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough acquired all KATS assets through grants and
gifts and has no continuing need for these assets; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that two vehicles and related capital assets including six bus shelters be
transferred to the SCOK.
