A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
APPROVING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN VEHICLES, TRAILERS, AND
CONEXES DETERMINED TO BE SURPLUS TO THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
WHEREAS, the vehicles, trailers, and conexes listed on the attached exhibit are
currently part of the Kodiak Island Borough's vehicle fleet; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough vehicle fleet contains a number of older
vehicles that incur large maintenance bills, are not reliable, and /or is no longer needed
or regularly used; and
WHEREAS, the trailers and conexes are no longer needed; and
WHEREAS, streamlining the vehicle fleet, trailers, and conexes would provide for
savings in maintenance, insurance costs, yard cleanup, and more manageable and
reliable number of vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the vehicles, trailers, and conexes listed have been determined to be
surplus to the needs of the Kodiak Island Borough; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that the vehicles, trailers, and conexes on the attached exhibit shall be
disposed of by bid at an auction at a future Kodiak Island Borough surplus property
sale.
