1998-33 Administrative Official DesignationA RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH DESIGNATING INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL SERVE AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL DURING THE ABSENCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH MANAGER WHEREAS, a clear procedure for administration needs to be in place in the event of an emergency or other pressing issue during the absence of the Borough manager; and WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances 1.04.030C provides the designation of an administrative official to act as manager during the manager's absence or disability; and WHEREAS, at times both the manager and the administrative official are absent from the Borough at the same time and the need for action may arise; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Linda Freed, director of the community development department, shall serve as the administrative official during the manager's absence from the Kodiak Island Borough or inability to perform duties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that if the Borough manager and the director of the community development department are simultaneously absent from the Borough or unable to perform duties, Patrick Carlson, Borough assessor, shall serve as the administrative official.
