1998-24 Uyak Bay Parcel DisposalIntroduced by: Mayor Selby Requested by: Resource Manager Drafted by: Resource Manager Introduced: 06/18/98 Amended: 06/18/98 Adopted: 06/18/98 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 98 -24 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH APPROVING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR DISPOSAL TO THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE OF PARCELS ACQUIRED THROUGH TAX FORECLOSURE AND DECLARED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE IN UYAK BAY WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough previously adopted Ordinance No. 95 -05 and Ordinance No. 95 -05A directing the mayor to negotiate and sell foreclosed lands in Uyak Bay to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for fair market value; and WHEREAS, the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council adopted a resolution to provide more than $ 1,000,000 to purchase lands in Uyak Bay; and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough assembly, having reviewed the pertinent facts relating to this land disposal, approves its disposal in accordance with the Purchase Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that the parcels acquired through the nonpayment of taxes by the Kodiak Island Borough that were once part of the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge and declared for "public purpose" are approved for disposal to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Purchase Agreement: No. 1 Robert D.
