1997-49 Authorizing Participation in the Community Development Block Grant Program on Behalf of the Karluk Tribal Council for a Community Health Clinic.A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF THE KARLUK TRIBAL
COUNCIL FOR A COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly wishes to provide the Karluk
Community with a Health Clinic; and
WHEREAS, this entity is an applicant for a grant in the amount of $196,957 from the
Alaska Department of Community and Regional Affairs, under the Community
Development Block Grant program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that the mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to negotiate and
execute any and all documents required for granting and managing funds on behalf of
the Kodiak Island Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH that the mayor is also authorized to execute subsequent
amendments to said grant agreement to provide for adjustments to the project within
the scope of services or tasks, based upon the need of the project.
