A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE 1997 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH POPULATION
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough intends to have certified the most accurate
population count for the Kodiak Island Borough and its member municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has estimated the 1997 Kodiak Island Borough
and member municipalities population in a manner approved by the State of Alaska
Department of Community and Regional Affairs; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has estimated the 1997 Kodiak Island Borough
and member municipalities populations using the State of Alaska Department of Labor
figures, the housing unit methodology, and 100% counts for Chiniak and the United
States Coast Guard Base;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that the 1997 population estimates for the Kodiak Island Borough and its
member municipalities are:

Chiniak Census Designated Place (CDP)
