A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE KODIAK ISLAND AREA
OVERALL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ANNUAL REPORT
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce has entered into a contract with the
Kodiak Island Borough and the City of Kodiak to provide economic development
planning and leadership for the communities of Kodiak Island; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce is the recognized economic
development organization on Kodiak Island; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce has established an Economic
Development Committee to oversee the Overall Economic Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Committee has reviewed the economic
development activities undertaken in Fiscal Year 1997 and set new economic
development goals for Fiscal Year 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Committee has outlined those
accomplishments and goals in its Annual Report for Fiscal Year 1997;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: The Kodiak Island Area Overall Economic Development Program Annual
Report for Fiscal Year 1997 be approved.
Section 2: The Kodiak Island Area Overall Economic Development Program Annual
Report for Fiscal Year 1997 will be submitted to the U.S. Economic
Development Administration for review and approval.
