A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 1998
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH NON PROFIT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is fortunate to enjoy the efforts of many
benevolent non - profit organizations that provide services that enrich our lives in this
community; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak area charitable non - profit organizations continue to provide
humanitarian services that many of our community members rely upon; and
WHEREAS, these organizations provide expanded education, cultural, and health
services that could not be provided by ordinary governmental budgets; and
WHEREAS, these organizations expand the services that can be provided with limited
funds through the utilization of volunteer efforts; and
WHEREAS, the viability of these efforts is fundamental to the quality of life enjoyed
in the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that the Kodiak Island Borough fiscal year 1998 budget include
contributions to non profit benevolent organizations in the amounts indicated on the
following pages for a total of $352,733.
