Section 3: The findings of the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission are hereby confirmed as follows: 17.72.020 A. Findings as to the Need and Justification for a Change or Amendment. The rezone is needed and justified to permit rock extraction that is needed to create sufficient upland area in support of the design and use of St. Herman Harbor. The request simply clarifies the boundary between I- Industrial and C- Conservation zoned areas, in lieu of a platted subdivision boundary. The relative area of the affected zones will remain largely unchanged. Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska Ordinance No. 2001 -18 Page 1 of 2 17.72.020 B.
