AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING TITLE 2
ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 2.17.020 GENERAL RULES
WHEREAS, Alaska Statute 29.20.160(f) provides that the assembly determines its own
rules and order of business; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.17.020(d) Genera/ rules provides that the Roberts Rules of Order
Newly Revised, 1990 Edition shall govern the proceedings of the assembly in all cases,
unless they are in conflict with these rules; and
WHEREAS, new publications of Roberts Rules of Order are published periodically and the
most current issue should govern the proceedings of the assembly;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a part
of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Section 2.17.020 General rules of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances is amended as follows:
2.17.020 General rules.
D. Rules of order: "Roberts Rules of Order Ncwly Rcviscd, 1990 Current Edition" shall
govern the proceedings of the assembly in all cases, unless they are in conflict with these rules. When
such a conflict exists, this ordinance prevails.
ADOPTED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
