AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AMENDING TITLE 17 ZONING OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 17.02.030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO
INCORPORATE THE PASAGSHAK /NARROW CAPE AREA PLAN (JUNE 1999)
WHEREAS, the Pasagshak /Narrow Cape Area Plan was initiated at the request of the
Kodiak Island Borough Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission held the first
area planning meeting in March of 1998; and
WHEREAS, the development of the Pasagshak /Narrow Cape Area Plan has had full
participation by interested individuals and organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission has held
numerous work sessions and a public hearing to obtain input into the area planning
process; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly adopt the Pasagshak /Narrow
Cape Area Plan and incorporate it into the Kodiak Island Borough Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Title 17 Zoning of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances is
amended as follows:
17.02.030 Comprehensive plan. For the purpose of this title, the Kodiak Island Borough
Comprehensive Plan consists of the following documents:
S. Pasagshak/Narrow Cape Area Plan, dated June 1999, prepared by the Kodiak Island
Borough.
