AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND GULATIONS
BY AMENDING THE ORGANIZATION AND DELEGATION • AUTHORITY
FOR POSITION CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the Assembly is desirous of approving change to the Classification Plan
for position descriptions, salary range placement, and classification of positions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASS BLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and •ermanent nature and shall become a
part of the Kodiak Island Boroug Personnel Rules and Regulations, 1994
edition.
Section 2: Chapter 2 Or • anization a Dele• ation of Authorit is hereby amended
as follows:
The Borough Asse •ly shall have the overall responsibility and authority to
establish Borough .•licy regarding personnel matters including the following:
a. Appoint - d dismiss members of the Personnel Board.
b. Assign such additional duties to the Personnel Board as it deems
appro • riate.
c. Ap ove the Borough's budget, including requests for personnel
nagement funds.
pprove personnel policies and procedures developed by the Personnel
Board.
e. Approve recommendations provided by the Working Conditions Advisory
Council.
f. Approve, by ordinance, additions and /or changes to position descriptions,
position classification plans and salary schedule.
