AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AMENDING KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES
TITLE 8 HEALTH AND SAFETY TO PROVIDE FOR THE CHANGE
TO A MANAGER PLAN OF GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough will revert to a manager plan of government
on October 19, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the governing body shall enact provisions for the reorganization of the
municipal executive and administrative functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:

8.04.040 Administrative assistance. The [mayorimanager or his designee shall:
B. Provide the board with such supplies, meeting space, and secretarial assistance as the
[may]manager deems reasonably required;
8.20.020 Definitions. As used in chapter 8.20 of this title, each of the following terms shall have
the meaning herein stated:
A. "Director" is the [mayor]manager or his designee;
8.25.020 No smoking signs posted. The [mayot]manager shall cause notices to be posted and
maintained throughout the borough buildings.

This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Title 8 Health and Safety of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances is amended to read as follows:

8.30.070 Revocation of permits. Any permit issued under this chapter is revocable by any
authorized fire department official or the [mayer]manager.
Section 3: Effective date. Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance shall become effective
to be in full force and effect at midnight on October 18, 1998.
