AN ORDINANCE AMENDING KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES
CHAPTER 8.04 HOSPITAL AND HEALTH FACILITIES ADVISORY BOARD
TO PROVIDE FOR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD
TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE LEASE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough assembly has enacted Resolution No. 97 -07
approving a lease agreement between, the Sisters of Providence in Washington d /b /a
Providence Health Care System in Alaska and the Kodiak Island Borough for lease of
the Kodiak Island Hospital and Care Center; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement provides for specific responsibilities for the Kodiak
Island Borough Hospital and Health Facilities Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the assembly desires to amend the ordinance creating the hospital and
health facilities advisory board to be consistent with the lease agreement with
Providence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become
a part of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 8.04.030 Powers and Duties is hereby repealed and re- enacted
as follows:
