1976-16 Relating to Platting and Minimum Street Requirements Within Subdivisions1 1 1 follows: a 5 1 n SECTION 2. Subsection 16.24.020 B.1., is repealed and reenacted to read as follows: 1. Street Improvements. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, all street and public ways shall be graded to their full width to the appropriate grade and shall be surfaced to a minimum width of 24 feet in accordance with applicable standard specifications of the borough, and all streets in any subdivision that the planning commission shall designate as major streets shall be surfaced to a minimum width of 40 feet. (b) In subdivisions of four lots or less, terminal access streets may be constructed if a through- street is not anticipated AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PLATTING AND MINIMUM STREET REQUIREMENTS WITHIN SUBDIVISIONS. KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 76 -16 -0 BE IT ENACTED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly as SECTION 1. The initial paragraph in Section 16.16.010 is amended to read as follows: 16.16.010 Preliminary plan data. Whenever any person desires to subdivide land into building lots or to dedicate streets, alleys or land for public use, he shall submit four copies of the preliminary sketch plan to the planning commission before sub- mission of the final plan. Plats containing four [THREE] lots or less may be exempted from the provisions of this chapter. The preliminary plan shall show: (Subsections "A" through "F" are unchanged and are, therefore, not set forth] Page One, Ordinance No. n r) or projected to provide access that may be necessary to other parcels of land. Easements for terminal access streets shall be not less than 20 feet in width and the streets shall be brought to the appropriate grade and surfaced to a minimum width of 15 feet. (c) The cross - section of construction shall contain nonfrost susceptible material to the depth of 42 inches for appropriate grade, and in the absence of any other specified depth by appli- cable standard specifications of the borough.
