WHEREAS, revised language will clarify the intent of the parking requirements for
retail and office uses; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent that these uses should not have to provide excessive
parking for storage areas; and
WHEREAS, this revision will explicitly provide for this intent; and
WHEREAS, the three (3) foot landscaping strip required in 17.57.080D.2 is difficult
for developers to install and maintain;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Section 17.57.040 A of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances
is hereby amended to read:
17.57.040 Off - street parking -- number of spaces required
A. The required number of off - street parking spaces to be provided will
be determined as follows:
